Participation in international exhibition in Verona
JSC KOMFORTS will take a part in exhibition BIOENERGY EXPO 2010 from 4th to 7th of February, which will take a place in Verona, Italy (www.fieragricola.com).
We will planing to participate together with italian company W.T.E. (Waste to Energy). In this exhibition we will more focus to co-generation projects as our partner has more than 10 years experience in this business.
The last annual meeting of LSUA Council in the office of JSC Komforts
On December 17, the last meeting 2009 of the Latvian Association of Heat Enterprises (LSUA) Council took place in the office of JSC Komforts. As usual, the meeting was participated by Managers of heat enterprises of various cities and towns of Latvia. Such issues as LSUA work on approbation results and proposals of the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) methodic project Methods for Calculating Thermal Energy Tariffs, LSUA work on the letter about the combined heat and power policy in Latvia, etc. were reviewed in the agenda. Representatives of the Italian company W.T.E. were also invited to the meeting of the Council who shared experience on construction issues of combined heat and power plants and their potentialities.

JSC Komforts wins the competition on flue gas condenser productionOn December 17, 2009, JSC Komforts received a notification of SIA Ludzas Bio-Enerģija on making a decision regarding the procurement No.1/2009/L – Delivery of the flue gas refrigeration and condensation equipment and installation for a woodchip boiler. We are acknowledged as submitters of the most profitable tender and the rights to implement this project are conferred to JSC Komforts. It is planned to conclude the agreement already in December, 2009.

A joint stock company Komforts was founded in 1991. We are the leader of thermal power industry in Latvia specializing in design, manufacturing, assembly and servicing of thermal power station equipment and boiler houses. We offer manufacturing of a wide range of thermal plant equipment – from water boilers (capacity from 25 kW to 10,000 kW), steel chimneys, multicyclones, heat accumulation tanks, and fuel supply systems to processor-controlled moving-sloping grate front furnaces (capacity from 100 kW to 10,000 kW). JSC Komforts provides its customers with complex services, which allow for time economy and fully support the operation of boiler house in automated mode. For several years, JSC Komforts has been closely collaborating with the Swedish company Holst Energi AB Ltd in the field of information technology adaptation for boiler house equipment. In collaboration with their professionals, JSC Komforts is constantly engaged in solving and implementing new ideas for modernizing the thermal plant equipment, thereby achieving maximum energy efficiency during its lifetime. In the future, we see ourselves advance in the field of construction of cogeneration plants. To successfully develop and implement such projects, JSC Komforts and Holst Energi Ltd have established a Latvian-Swedish joint venture, Hansa Energi Group. The experience and the team of highly professional experts allow JSC Komforts to devote increasingly more time to planning, developing and implementing innovative and energy-efficient ideas. In 2008, we have achieved the production quality of vertical hot water boilers to conform to the European Union Directive 97/23/EC (Pressure Equipment Directive) which provides for the production of the boilers with working pressure of 10 bar and maximum working temperature of the heat-transfer medium of 130°C. Currently the engineering staff of JSC Komforts are working on construction of a vertical hot water boiler wherein the maximum working pressure may achieve even 16 bar. Despite the continuous investment of its assets in development (building of a new production department, procurement of state-of-the-art production technologies), JSC Komforts considers the largest and the most valuable investment to be in the intellectual potential. The company has built a young, energetic, creative, and highly skilled team of specialists who face a variety of challenges each day, and provide the client with solutions and high quality products!
